Well I haven't posted on my blog in awhile... I've been meaning to... It's not that I have forgotten all about my own little piece of web real estate... It's just that, well, I've been busy! A poor excuse I know - you will and can always find time to do something. Surely your day is not so jam-packed that you don't even get a chance to take a breath. It's just that...oh when I get home from work all I want to do is bludge! I'll have a snack, put my feet up, watch some tele and just generally try not to think too much about anything. Having been chained to my desk all day answering emails, composing emails, sorting emails, devising publicity plans, writing media releases, answering calls, constructing itineraries, it's nice to just let your brain have a little rest. I know what you're thinking, "oh woe is me", "we're all freakin' busy too". But when I get home my motivation level just turns to zero and the thought of having to get back on that darn computer for reasons other than online shopping irks me.
Did anyone ever tell you blogging was hard? It is, trust me. But for me I think it's just a case of laziness. Maybe I've lost motivation, the novelty has worn off, the honeymoon period is over. Wait, what? Am I breaking up with my blog? It was all so cheery and exciting in the beginning but after that magical three month mark that's when the true colours start unfolding. Things about them become annoying, the world suddenly isn't all so rosy, the excitement dies down... But then you realise that everything has flaws and you ask yourself whether you're willing to tough it out and maybe learn something in the process and think wouldn't life be boring if it was all strawberries and roses?
Well blog you're in luck because I've decided not to break up with you. Blogging is hard but we'll get through this together and maybe you'll be the love of my life (?!), but it's still early days yet. If everything was easy would we get anywhere in the world? Life is a challenge, embrace it!
